This was my first SUMMIT and SQLSaturdays outside Brazil. I would like to share some things with you
I’m a simple guy, raised in a simple family with simple habits. My father, who was one of the most important guys in my life ,always showed me the value of friendship and family above everything else.
I am a passionate about the SQL Server and whenever I saw the SQLSaturdays happening and all people sharing and getting together , I always imagined it should be pretty cool.
This year I had the opportunity to go to the SUMMIT and two SQLSaturdays, the 172 and 166. It was an amazing experience and I will get with me for the rest of my life.
I remember that a friend sent an email making a tour during the week and I said, “Do not count me out for walks, I am going to the SQLStaurdays meet people I follow on twitter and join to the Summit.” . For me it what matters.
I’m not ashamed to say that everyone I met, I asked to take a photo .I can not say all the names I met, because there were too many, but I grew up and SQL Server reading and learning with you and to me the importance to have meet you guys is by reason of friendship.
The Summit is more than a learning experience, it is a matter of being part of something bigger than you can imagine. It’s a family. There is no competition but brotherhood and friendship.
Families help each other right? Yeah .. I got back the Summit with an job contract, as PowerShell/SQL Server consultant, , which began with the nomination and help from people in the SQL Server community . These AWESOME people and the #sqlpass that join them.
Come on guys , It’s just fantastic that you feel part of something so big and important, the #sqlfamily and #sqlpass.
The Summit was perfect. The organization was amazing.I would like to thanks PASS for the opportunity to have been pass blogger, and more than this because to be the organization that promotes all this community. You guys rocks !!!!
I recommend to anyone. If ever come to the Summit, you are missing more than knowledge in SQL Server. You are missing new and faithful friends.
This coming year, I’ll try to go on as many SQLSaturdays I can, not only to speak if I have the opportunity, but to review the friends I made at the Summit. My new family.
Thanks #sqlfamily and #sqlpass
PS-There are A LOT of names that I would like to mention and are part of my SQL Server life, but HOLY MOTHER. !!! I have met, talked and shared the speakers room with Kalen Delaney !!!!!!!!!
